The works on display include magnificent examples of Gothic and Baroque goldsmithing, a section devoted to medieval and Renaissance wooden sculpture, and paintings spanning the time period from the late 13th century to the 18th century.
The variety and quality of the works on display - that include a triptych by the [unnamed] Maestro dell’Assunta di Amelia, a diptych by Cola Petruccioli, and several chancel panels made by Zaccaria di Filippo Mazzola. In addition, an extraordinary fresco executed by Andrea d’Assisi, known as Ingegno, further enriches the collection.
Special mention is reserved for the “Madonna and Child” from the early 16th century, attributed to Bernardino di Betto, known as Pinturicchio.
